Yamaha T50 High Thrust

The Yamaha T50 High Thrust transitions into a smooth, robust 4-cylinder platform designed specifically for large pontoons, heavy workboats, and displacement hulls that refuse to plane. Built on a 996cc overhead-cam architecture, the T50 abandons standard mid-range gear ratios in favor of a specialized, heavy-duty lower unit utilizing an aggressive 2.33:1 gear ratio. When matched with Yamaha’s Dual Thrust™ propeller array, it delivers jaw-dropping forward traction and unmatched stopping power in reverse.

The T50 utilizes precision Multi-Point Electronic Fuel Injection controlled by an Engine Control Module (ECM) to ensure instantaneous hot or cold starts, immaculate fuel efficiency, and seamless throttle control. With long-track intake manifolds to boost low-end grunt and built-in compatibility with Yamaha’s Digital Network gauges, it brings modern, reliable commercial performance to consumer platforms.
