Ethanol-blended fuels (such as E10) naturally attract atmospheric moisture, causing water to pool at the bottom of marine fuel tanks—a process known as phase separation. Yamaha’s 10-Micron Fuel Water Separators are your boat’s primary boundary layer defense, removing over 99% of entrained water and heavy particulate solids before they ever leave the bilge.

These heavy-duty marine filters utilize an ultra-dense, resin-impregnated media that lets fuel pass through freely while forcing water droplets to accumulate and settle out of the stream. Available as either a complete high-grade mounting head assembly (ideal for new boat rigging or repowers) or as standalone spin-on replacement filter elements, they are built to survive punishing bilge spaces. The outer canisters feature a multi-layer anti-corrosive powder finish that stops rust and prevents pitting in damp, high-salinity marine environments.
